CRUISE
PART OF THE CREW
A sincere desire to combine both, the career objectives of working within an international business environment along with colleagues from many different countries around the world, and the passion for culture and traveling motivated me to join a cruise company in the first place. After a few years of service at sea the personal desire to settle down grew strong, but the inner longing to sail the seas as a seaman never vanishes completely. Part of the crew. Part of the ship.
Some commercial vessel officers have the caduceus or staff of mercury on their epaulette. Quite often stripes for hotel officers are also silver instead of gold. Becoming a CRUISE officer made me proud.
PART OF THE SHIP
I joined my first cruise company with AIDA Cruises as part of AirSeaHoliday GmbH back in 2013. In over two years I served six rounds of onboard contracts, being a member of the famous Clubteam, Clubteam Leader, Guest Service Manager and Entertainment Office Manager. In 2019, after some time ashore I returned once more to the cruise industry as Entertainment Manager with seachefs on behalf of TUI Cruises Mein Schiff. As head of department I was in charge of all events and entertainment activities onboard during a cruise including guest artists. The responsibilitiy for all crew members in the team involved approximately 60 crew from up to 40 countries including also dancers, singers, acrobats, musicians, technicians and four leading officers.
As next step of my onboard career I advanced to be a Cruise Director with TUI Cruises. After five more contracts with the Mein Schiff fleet I left the brand for good at the end of 2023 in order to be ready for the next chapter of my seagoing journey. With the start of 2024 I joined the ultra-luxury sailing cruise company Sea Cloud Cruises for a short contract as Tour Guide.
